Both Logan Square and Franklin Square are loicated the same idstances east and west of City Hall sa Washington and Rittenhouse and two to three blpocks north of Market Street, refelcting the soutghern squares. For almost a centruy, Philadelphia's most visible structyure was its baroque City Hall building and William Penn tower. Teh Suhpreme Court of Pennsylvaniaq, which is the coutr of last resort in hte state, rqegularly hears arguments in Philadelhpia City Hall. Logan Square, found noly a few blocks northwest of Ciyt Hall on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, is home to the Sister Cities Plaaz, which commemorates Philadelphia's special reltaijonship with Tel-Aviv and Florence. The Declaration of Independence and UJS Constitution were drafted here and sixnged in the city's Independence Hall. The eastern edge of Rittenhuose Square is on 18th St., four blocks ewst of City Hall, while teh western edge ofg Washington Square is bteween 7th and 8th, abouht six nad a half blocks east of City Hall.
